All in all, this subject is not just something to me, but a
special subject wherein insights that I gathered and information that have been
known to me is just as important as diamonds for people who lives for money.
this valuable information is for me to share to others and as a minister, I
will do my best and do everything for God and to no one else. And that as a
minister, I will never speak out false teachings and will study more and more,
and will get to know our God more and more. This subject taught me things that
have been creating ignition in my heart to look and search more about this valuable
things that are needed for my journey and daily walk in God as a servant of
Him!.

Modernism, Missions and the Philippines
Modernism is rampant at this point of time, and specially
also talking in the context of the Philippines . Change is coming as
what some people talks about. But you see, change really starts in us. In this
new century and in this new generation. Let us make change by spreading the
word of God intentionally and to speak the truth to all spreading love instead
of hate. This things are my learning in this reflection that I am stating that
made me realized of how cruel this world, and in addition of the people who
also trying to cruel. Let us stop these things and spread the word of God.
As a ministry in the Lord, I will apply my learning by
applying it in my daily journey to and fro this world that I am living in. I
will intentionally love to tell the world about Jesus, no matter what, even if
there are persecutions in the future or by the people then I would live by
their judgment but still the judgment of God still prevails in our lives.
Not All is Good
I have got two insights in these lessons that I have been
pondering and searching for information that could really help in my ministry.
I have seen the view on which in Christianity, not all is God that there is an
also ongoing conflict that afflicts Christianity. In being a Christian not all
good things would come to you, because there are what we call struggles and
trials for the good. Example, struggles and there are trials that yes, would
put you down but on the other hand, or shall we say on the good side, it brings
you up, develops you and helps you mature throughout your journey.
Reformation
This age of reformation things is very new to me, before I
have not heard of this thing in radios or anything. So this really is something
interested to hear and learn about. I have learned that, the reformation first
broke out in the free imperial cities in Germany
and Switzerland .
That also these things is caused by things are that also must be informed
about. That these reformation had made the history of the church shining in the
hearts of all Christians wherein information about these movement by the church
fathers long time ago. I have learned that these things are very important to
my study and to my life as A Christian.
In my life, soon I would be a
minister and I would love to teach these things to my people and my members
occasionally, knowing that this information had helped me. I surely know that
also these will also help people like our church members and youth so that they
too may be informed of such valiant people and brave Christ-fighters.
Dark Times
It is so devastating, knowing, Christians went from being
persecuted in the past. In hurts to know how people cruelly torture and
persecute people who only speaks and brings the truth. But again, dark times.
In life, we always go through dark times. I have learned that, even through
hard times are there, trials and struggles are much enough for you to breakdown
yet still God’s abundant love and grace will never fade away. That as
Christians, we will always face trials and dark times. The question is, do we
know how to deal with it when it comes in our lives?
I have
learned that I need to change my perspective in life, and I need to make some
actions referring to how I handle stress and struggles and trials in life. I
must only cling to God and not be more dependent on my self or people that
surrounds me more than God. I need to stand up and lift my hands to God and
surrender everything to Him, for to Him will always be prosper and happy life
if we are always abiding in Him. And that in life, we all must be aware that
God is near, God is here. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Only we need
to live our lives not for own Glory, but His.
Church and State
Oh how amazing people could ever live their lives for our
God. These are great people who are also great contributors in our history in
Christianity. I was very interested knowing the lessons are about the “Councils
and Creeds”. Because these lessons are new to me and have not been encountered
in my life. I have learned that, Creeds are not equal to Scripture but a
convenient summary of Biblical teachings, In the past thought of these “Creeds”
thingy is just a waste of time, but when I tackled this topic it had
enlightened my mind with such respect to people who made these statements of
beliefs.
Some of
these lessons I got has been a great impact in my life, specially reading the
different creeds, more specially the “Nicene Creed” which brings a lot of
emphasis and similar to my belief. It made me realized and put into mind that
again and again, there is God, who lives, who, triune one. And these
informational truths should not be hidden but rather spread and make it known
to the whole world!
They Had Cults Too!
As for this lesson of which entitles “They Had Cults Too!”
and “The History of the Bible”, I have observed and acquired two things I
learned while studying this lesson that also I have not known before this
lesson was introduced, First was that I have not known that, Many people today
or shall I say in general, that are “practical atheists” because they have not
bothered to inquire about the existence and character of God, I may have not
observed some of those in my community because I am born in to a Christian
community and lifestyle, what I have not known about is that ignorance of
people to whom who are not able to learn and know about these important things
that talk about God and describing and letting us know more and more about Him.
Another lesson that I have got in these discussion is that, there are many
methods that God used in inspiring the writers of the Bible, 3 of which is: (1)
Direct dictation (Deut. 9:10) (2) Human research (Luke 1:1-4) and last but not
the least, (3) Spoken revelation (Gal. 1:12). I included this learning because
at some point in my life, I have known that there was only one way of God
revealing His Word upon his servants. And these methods show that God was in
control of the recording of His Word.
It made a
change in my thinking about people having no knowledge about God’s existence
and character, that people are really lost, they have not known what is needed
to be known and the ignorance of people makes them lost and dark, these people
needed God, people need God in order to have and capture that unfading beauty,
and unending love and mercy and grace., another one is that God is very
creative, He has not limited His power in making known His Word to us by doing
such acts like those three (3) written above to have people know about His
Word, and that in order for us to have the right thinking and right living.
As to apply
these learning that I have sought, I will never be stagnant in the ministry and
directly obey what are the commandments of God, that to those who have not
known God, let them be knowledgeable of. Inform that about God’s Word; share to
them His love for them, and that by not surrendering even how cruel the people
could be.
